For the patch 1.8 + hotfix 1 is there any news on that?

I am really interested on the battery having a longer life.

I also did a downclock hoping it will help on some.  :o

If you set min=max CPU to 480 you will have 5 days normal use phone. This is for people not being benchmarks lovers.

I put min=122mhz (no wifi issue) and max=480mhz, I am having 6+ standby days!!!

My wife couldn't be happier with the phone.

I haven't reduced to 122mhz in quite some time. In older versions of the CM7 port here it used to cause SOD's and degrade streaming radio. I haven't tried it with the latest releases, maybe the problem doesn't exist anymore.

i have been using cyanogen roms for a long time and i experience the same thing with all releases....battery does not last long...when i remove the charger it stays at 100% but if u use the phone for like a few seconds it becomes 98 and starts depleting really fast....it is not the battery problem as i hav tried it with another battery...when i reverted to stock froyo the problems hav disappeared...battery calibration doesnt work also...can anyone fix this problem as i love the cyanogen mod soo much...thank you....

Hi Psyske

I'm using my phone for 51 hours and I still have 43% of charge.
Sometimes my phone battery drains fast sometimes not.

My configs:
rom: [Galaxy 5 CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 - version 20120312 not released yet (just on goo.inside)]
recovery: [ClockWorkMod 5.0.2.8]
swap: [Internal Swap 64mb]
ext: [512mb - S2E]
sdcard: [MicroSDHC 4 GB Class 4]
cpu: [SmartASSV2 122-604 Mhz]
baseband: [I5500BVJJP7]
laucher: [Launcher Pro 0.86]

I usually turn on the wifi to access my phone via ssh using SSHDroid.

I noticed something interesting:
If I use the option:
Settings --> Screen --> Brighteness Control: minimum value = 30

But if I choose the option below, and slide left to decrease brightness, minimum value = 10
Settings --> Cyanogenmod --> Status Bar Tweaks --> Brightenss Control

Is it possible to make a query on :
sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db
select * from system;
1513|screen_brightness|10

I don't know if this could influence a lot on battery drains, but I guess could help to save some battery.

It'll be written on the battery. Just open the back cover and take a peek. Might be in mAh or Wh.
:D

To people who have good battery life (specially Saint and Wanderlei):
1. Do you use any energy saver app?
2. Do you use charger or USB cable?
3. Do you charge to 100% with the phone off or on?
4. Do you bump charge?
5. On average, how much does the battery last from 100% to 5~0%?

When my battery lasts a good (in my opinion) amount of time, it lasts 3 days and only with light use. The ROM that lasted the most was the stock Froyo, I think. CM7 rarely reaches 3 days. ):
I want to help solve this problem, though.

CM7 port 2.0 with hotfix3test3 - phone off charged to 100%
Light usage (GPS and 3G).

CM7 port 2.0 with hotfix3test3 - phone on charged to full (lightning in the battery icon disappears)
Less use than previous cycle (above).

This is what happened when I deleted batterystats and rebooted:

This is the only benefit of deleting batterystats I could notice. You can make the phone detect the right charge again (if it was wrong). This never happened when I rebooted without deleting batterystats.

CM7 port 2.1 with hotfix2test3 - phone off charged to 100%
Almost no use. This time, 3G always on.

Clock 245 - 604MHz, smartassV2 governor (for all 3 cases above).
