Hey guys!

I noticed that some of you were having difficulty upgrading/downgrading basebands, so I make a thread about basebands. I am going to extract every single baseband there is for GT-I5500 and post here. I will also post the instructions on how to flash them.

Please be patient while I upload them.

Colour Key: Cyanogenmod
N.B. Make sure you are using CyanogenMod v1.5hf2 or later for best compatibility.

I5500 Basebands (Europe, UK, Germany, etc)

How To Flash using MAD Manager:
- Requirements: Android 2.2+ and Root access
1. Install MAD Manager.
- You'll need to extract the *.tar to get amss file...
2. Select Flash Baseband > /sdcard/amss
3. A dialog will ask you to flash
4. Select Flash.
5. It will Reboot into Recovery and flash selected Baseband there
- Make sure you have ClockworkMod Recovery installed.

How To Flash using Desktop ODIN:
1. Download baseband of your choice.
2. Extract I550XXXXXXX_AMSS.7z using 7-zip. You should get something like I550XXXXXXX.tar
3. Open up Odin Multi Downloader.
4. Select Europa_v1.0.ops as the OPS file.
5. Tick "One Package", "Auto Reboot" and "Protect OPS". The "One Package" button should now be selectable and "BOOT", "Phone", "PDA", "CSC" and "EFS" buttons should now be greyed out.
6. Press the "One Package" button and browse to the I550XXXXXXX_AMSS.tar file.
7. Connect phone in Download Mode (Volume Down + Center D-Pad + Power button).
8. After Odin detects your phone, press the "Start" button under "Execution" section.
9. That's it, just wait until it is done.
10. Verify it flashed correctly by going into Settings -> About Phone and look under Baseband. It should have your recently flash baseband, I550XXXXXXX

NOTE: Remember Basebands, are intercompatible, so you can use any one you want on your phone. Just use the one that works the best for you.

Baseband flashing does not require a data-wipe!

CWM does not support flashing of basebands, you will have to use Odin. :(
